Repentance attracts Krishna. It is our Maya sambandha that prevents us from surrendering. Surrender can only be done by Krishna sambandha.
I have 2 identities: one in Maya and the other one in Krishna. Everytime I keep switching between these two identities depending on whether I want to enjoy or serve. Enjoyment is the basis of one and service is the basis of another identity.
Thus it is important to understand our identity based in Krishna – who is that devotee?
Taking shelter in this identity will fortify you.
It is this acceptance and honesty of where we are that will attract Krishna’s mercy.
Krishna will personally cut the knot of false ego and make us strong if we just try moving into our relationship with him. You can’t give up material desires by your endeavors but Krishna can give you required strength.
Where to start:
Pray from wherever we are honestly situated. This humble turning to Krishna is free from pretension of being advanced- that’s all he wants.
Hearing or reading about Krishna is the only way to develop this relationship.
