What is the colour of envy? Green we assume! Envy is a toxic emotion. It wages inner war and destroys our peace of mind. Envy will grab away the happiness of success.
A benign dose of envy maybe good. At times Radha envies Gopis, when her Lord gets engrossed Himself in love sport with Gopis and ignoring her. Though we know the intensity of Love, Radha beholds for her Lord.
She meditates on the sublime ideas underlying each leela of the Lord. Then doors of the Great Secret will slowly, one by one, open to reveal the truth. She and Her Lord are ONE! Her envy vanishes at the very thought!
One of the ways to get rid of envy is to constantly express our GRATITUDE not only for one’s own achievements but also for the achievements of others. This has to be done as a regular practice of expressing gratitude for the good fortune of others.
May pure unwavering love for our Lord ebbs and flows constantly . When we find our thoughts are wandering in envy, we need to remember and return to HIM, just keep uttering the name of our Lord! HE vanishes away our Ego by filling HIS Love, Love and Love alone…
