Beautiful read on realizing gratitude?
Two tall trees stood next to each other…One filled with pretty green leaves and vibrant energy and the other dry & empty..
The parched tree kept wondering within, what is making the other bloom this way and why is it that despite being in the same environment it could not be like the other..
One day they spoke to each other and the dry tree finally asked how there was so much disparity in the way they were growing…
The happy tree replied lovingly…everything that I recieve..I recieve it with love…and gratitude…A few drops of rain….the scorching sun…the wild winds I accept them all with gratitude and joy….I embrace it as Gods gift being sent my way!
Listening to this, the dry tree bravely confessed that it isn’t the same old green tree anymore and now it knows why..
Eversince I began cursing every lack that came my way….I stopped growing…. I never valued the few drops that bathed my roots and always asked for more..complained inwardly about the growth of every other tree seething in jealousy…which took away all my happy juices leaving me the way I am today..not knowing what lies within eventually projects itself outwardly.
The tree learnt its needful lesson only to see a sweet little leaf burst out of its belly the next morning.
